Positioning by Zones: Unparalleled Precision The Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 (requiring 2.4GHz Wi-Fi) offers significant advantages over traditional PIR sensors. By utilizing a single radar sensor, it can monitor rooms up to 40 m² (430 sq ft) and divide them into up to 30 customizable zones, such as the sofa, bed, or desk area. This zone-based approach simplifies automation configuration, as you can set individual rules for each zone, rather than relying on multiple PIR sensors.

Multi-Person and Fall Detection The FP2 can simultaneously detect up to 5 people, making it ideal for multi-occupant households. Additionally, when mounted on the ceiling, the sensor can activate a Falling Detection mode, which will alert you through the app if someone falls. (Note: The Falling Detection mode is for notification purposes only, and the FP2 is not a medical device.)

Seamless Multi-Ecosystem Integration The FP2 seamlessly integrates with popular smart home ecosystems, including HomeKit, Alexa, Google Home, and Home Assistant. You can directly add the device to Home Assistant using the HomeKit Controller integration, without requiring an Aqara hub, providing a versatile solution for smart home enthusiasts.

Ultra-High Precision with Maximum Privacy Leveraging millimeter-wave radar technology, the FP2 offers precise detection, even for the slightest of movements, without false negatives. Importantly, this detection is achieved without the need for a camera system, ensuring maximum privacy for users. Additionally, the FP2's IPX5 rating allows it to be installed in wet environments, such as bathrooms.

Built-In Light Sensor and Local Automations The FP2 features a built-in light sensor, enabling advanced lighting automations within the Aqara Home, HomeKit, and IFTTT ecosystems. Furthermore, the sensor can execute automations locally, ensuring uninterrupted operation even without an internet connection. (Note: The FP2 is a Wi-Fi device, and the recommended distance between the router and the FP2 is no more than 393 inches, without any obstacles.)

Flexible Installation and New Corner Mounting The FP2 supports various installation options, including wall mounting, ceiling installation (for Falling Detection), and angle adjustment. Additionally, a new corner mounting method has been introduced, providing even greater flexibility in sensor placement.

Intelligent Wake-Up Automations The FP2 can detect if someone is still in bed and ensure that the Wake-Up automation is not triggered, avoiding disturbance to others. Furthermore, the lighting can now follow you around the room, turning on only the lights near you and turning off the others as you move.
